Students study and discuss famous deaf people that are role models for students who are deaf. They research a famous deaf American and create a ten frame multimedia presentation to showcase the information.

Students research the implementation of a research vessel used for ocean exploration.  In buoyancy lesson students will construct a device that shows neutral buoyancy.

Learners with hearing loss read independently and understand what is being read to them. In this independent reading lesson plan, students sequence and discuss the book that is read.

First graders study sunflower plants and identify its parts. They plant sunflower seeds and watch them grow and make sunflowers out of paper plates and colored paper. They watch videos and visit websites about sunflowers.

Students discuss the reasons for having a budget. They create their own personal budget and explain how the bartering system can work for some items today.
