Unit Overview: This is a unit plan that focuses on family signs. This unit is planned to take two to three weeks and is geared for high school, grades 9-12. This unit consists of daily lessons and activities that correspond to the given lesson. The purpose of the unit is for students to learn about family signs. At the end of the unit, students will apply vocabulary signs they have learned and sign a narrative about their families. Students will also learn about Deaf families based on cultural differences.
