Bring together concepts covered in earlier lessons in the ten-part instructional activity series to analyze one of Poe's most famous poems, "The Raven." Class members discuss many different aspects of the poem and take turns reading lines and sections. After exploring all of these aspects of the poem, individuals compose an argumentative piece on whether they think "The Raven" is a great poem or not. The plan does reference page numbers from Great Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe, but these poems and stories can be found elsewhere.
