Have your learners experiment with symmetry with this activity. Class members trace and cut out 3 different figures and draw all of the lines of symmetry for each figure. After they have investigated these shapes, they examine 3 more figures to determine whether each has rotational symmetry. A great trace, cut, and fold example for determining rotational symmetry is provided.
