Once your historians are ready to take a test on the western frontier, give them a study guide like this to help them prepare. Although this guide is fairly specific, you can easily use it as an outline for your own (or to guide your unit). It is split into six sections: vocabulary, important places/events, important people, main ideas, reading, and essay question options. You might want to include a brief explanation of what their tasks will look like on test day. Are they matching people to accomplishments? Will there be a short answer segment? Again, use the guide as a starting point and customize it to your needs.
