Story Starts

Learners create a variety of creative story starts, where the mood, style, genre is clearly apparent in a well written and engaging first paragraph. They listen to the descripition of "Castle." Students discuss the style of this writing, where they focus on the fact that it is information text. Learners look at the photograph of the castle as it is today and discuss their reactions and details to the information text did not give them.
