Young conservationists enlist the aid of their classmates and family members in assessing and monitoring energy usage at school and at home. After studying forms of energy and energy transportation, class members learn how to read electric and natural gas meters, how to measure energy use, and methods for saving energy. They then rate their family's energy consumption and develop a plan for things they can do to save energy and money.
