Pop-Up Numbers

Here is an easy way to have your kinders begin to read large numbers. Whenever a number appears on the screen, the entire class reads it aloud. But they don't try to say "thousands," or "hundreds," rather, they just read the numbers left to right. For example, 6479 is read, "six, four, seven, nine." There are 20 such numbers present, and this should lead to some good practice of number identification for your little ones. Use it for older mathematicians by having them state the "thousands," or "hundreds."
