Organizing Data

For this organizing data worksheet, 7th graders solve seven different types of problems related to data. They first identify the type of data as categorical, discrete or continuous from the information given. Then, students use Excel to create a circle graph to illustrate their data. In addition, they identify which graph is most appropriate, a bar graph, circle graph or a broken-line graph to represent the data given in the last problem.
