Oral History of the Skagit River Watershed

In this culture and farming lesson, students learn about farmers and farming in the nineteenth century, interview important figures in farming, identify any pollution problems in the community, and research possible crop alternatives that are more suitable to the changing climate. Students write a report on their findings and suggest possible solutions or future directions farming may take.
