Oil Absorbing Polymer

This episode does a good job of showing a really good way to perform the classic science experiment which involves separating oil from water. Spangler shows a chemical that "hooks onto" the oil that has been dumped into a container of water. Incredibly, the oil and the polymer powder become one solution which can be entirely removed from the water.
