Mimidi As Bush Tucker

Students discuss the career of a bush tucker and a botanist. They explore survival skills such identifying edible bush foods and their purposes. In addition, students discuss plants that are used for medicinal purposes and the legal and environmental issues associated with gathering these plants. As a class, they explore the mimidi plant, insects attracted to the plant, and pollination. Using crepe-paper, students create mimidi flowers and leaves.
