Meeting at Night Theme of Man and the Natural World

In this poetry analysis activity, students read a paragraph regarding nature as it relates to Robert Browning's "Meeting at Night." Students then respond to 4 short answer questions based nature’s role in the poem. Students also speculate on how the poem would be different if it was set an urban area. Finally, students debate 2 thesis statements regarding nature as a symbol in the poem.
