How a Country's Boundaries Are Shaped
Seventh graders research and discuss Jerusalem, and the reasons it has been the focus of so many violent conflicts during the 20th century. They research Palestine prior to the establishment of Israel and in the 20th century by creating a timeline for the city of Jerusalem and Israel. Students write a report and sketch maps of the boundaries in 1920 and 1947, and 1967.
