Evaluate an Argument in a Text

This Evaluate an Argument in a Text video also includes:

Dig deep into evidence in an article. In order to do so, class members will need to assess whether the evidence is relevant and sufficient. The video models one way for evaluating an argument. First, the narrator presents a metaphor for an argument: a building. Next, growing directly off previous lessons in the video series, she takes the claim and tracks incidences of support for each point on a timeline of the article. Finally, she presents common mistakes that authors make in relation to sufficient evidence and tests each of these with the article in question. A thorough plan, the video could be used in a variety of ways. Consider also the slides, guided notes, and article copy included with the video.
