Digital Color Poetry

Readings of Mary O’Neil’s Hailstones and Halibut Bones and Barbara Joosse’s I Love You the Purplest launch an investigation of how authors use visual images to represent sensory details associated with colors. After listing the colors in the books and noting specific examples of how the authors describe them, young poets use a template to craft a poem about their favorite color. Resource links are included.
