Providing the historical context of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, this slideshow would make a great addition to either a British literature class, a world history class, or a medieval history class. The first few slides present the state of society in 700-1500 AD, which eventually led to the "estates satire" of Canterbury Tales. A character list at the end of the slideshow could lead into a reading of the novel, or with some tweaking, could supplement a historical lecture.
