Students create self-portraits as an ice breaker at the beginning of the year.  For this self portrait lesson students use generic child shaped outlines.  Students include information about themselves in their outline such as hair color, skin and eye color and favorite clothes and footwear. Students share and prepare an exhibit.  Students become more accepting of differences among ethnic groups.
