Students investigate the tenets behind Archimedes' principle. In this Archimedes' principle lesson plan, students experiment with the mass of objects outside of water and inside water and measure the volume of water with the objects immersed. They calculate the buoyant forces acting on the masses. Students answer a real life application question about floating and buoyancy.
