Five lessons take high schoolers on a journey through Australia’s ecosystems. They investigate the relationships between different organisms, examine factors that affect population sizes, and consider how energy flows into and out of an ecosystem. They also look at how events (think wildfires, drought, and human activity) cause environmental changes. To conclude the unit, groups design, construct, and analyze graphs looking for trends and patterns.
