For those who are facing personal difficulties, adjusting to new circumstances, or just feeling isolated, the physical experience of handling a letter, opening the sealed side of the envelope, and sliding out a beautiful card brings the thrill and anticipation of contact with another person, something they may been missing for long time. Fulfilling this need is at the heart of an inspiring organization called \"The World Needs More Love letters\".

Hannah Brencher, the founder, did not realize she was starting a movement. \"I always say that it was all a complete accident\" she admitted. \"I found myself writing my feelings into the notebook that I was carrying, looking at strangers on the subway and writing letters to them. It was always about other people.\"

Hannah had been feeling the isolation of the city, and experiencing severe loneliness and depression. She found comfort expressing her feelings in her journal and then began writing anonymous love letters on the #4 Subway Train and leaving them around New York City bookstores, coffee shops and libraries for people to find.

When she began posting on her blog, asking if any of her followers needed a love letter, the response was enormous. Hannah, now a published author of \"If You Find a Love Letter,\" coordinates the requests for hundreds of anonymous letters to people who need them the most from strangers they will never meet who only want to remind them that they matter.

Since 2011, More Love Letters has spread to over 70 countries, all 50 states, and over 100 college campuses. There are now over 25,000 people worldwide who contribute letters just to brighten the day of another person.

Follow Hannah's journey from subway journalist to a global evangelist for the wonders of hand-written, heartfelt, one-to-one communication. She is a great example of someone who found a calling in life that she never planned on.
