(Shortly after 3:00pm), Mr. Cooper hands a note to the stewardess...\nNovember 24, 1971 - A man calling himself Dan Cooper pays cash for a one-way ticket to Seattle. He orders a bourdon and soda as he waits for the flight to take off. (Shortly after 3:00pm), Mr. Cooper hands a note to the stewardess telling her that he has a bomb. He demands $200,000 in cash and four parachutes. When the flight lands in Seattle, he exchanges the passengers for the cash and parachutes. With the crew still onboard, the plane takes off again, bound for Mexico City. Somewhere between Seattle and Reno, the hijacker jumps out of the back of the plane with a parachute and the ransom money. The pilots land safely, and Dan Cooper vanishes in the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. To this day, D.B. Cooper’s true identity and whereabouts are unknown. The D.B Cooper Hijacking remains one of the most famous unsolved cases in American history.\n
