Let’s explore some things that float on the surface of the water. Using a trap of water, you can show you paper clips easily float instead of sinking. Then, you can cut out a fun Dino friend but folding apiece of paper in half and cutting out some fun shapes. Make sure he has his 6 feet sticking out! When he’s ready, he’ll float on top of the water too.

Did you know some things are afraid of water? Some things, like cinnamon, are hydrophobic. Gently tap a tablespoon of water onto a glass of water, having it float on top. When you stick your finger in, the cinnamon won’t get wet, and won’t stick to your finger!

Cut a small square of paper, and fold it three times on the diagonal. Cut the widest part into a pedal shape. Unfold and add a yellow dot, and you have a flower. Fold all the pedals towards the centre. Make as many as you like. When you put them into the water, the flowers open up when they start to absorb the water!

This one is pretty magical. Draw a mouth, and be sure to colour in those teeth. Put your paper into a plastic bag, and only trace black lines. When you place the plastic bag into a cup of water and look down into it, the teeth marks have disappeared!

Fill a plastic bag with water. Then, take some super sharp pencils and push them all the way through both sides of the bag. No water will spill! Pretty neat. \n
