And for whom.\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eSo, they represent features that a client or user expects from the project. Together, user stories that have not been built by the project team form the Product Backlog.\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThey are usually documented on cards that typically contain:\u003cbr/\u003e• A title\u003cbr/\u003e• A unique ID\u003cbr/\u003e• An estimate of the work required \u003cbr/\u003e(usually in Story Points)\u003cbr/\u003e• A description of what the feature needs to achieve\u003cbr/\u003e• Maybe a list of tasks (like WBS elements) that are needed to create the product or feature\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThe description will usually define the scope and quality requirements and may often be articulated in a form similar to this one:\u003cbr/\u003e• As a … (user/persona)\u003cbr/\u003e• I want to …(action)\u003cbr/\u003e• So that … (benefit)\u003cbr/\u003eAnd they may also have a validation test like this:\u003cbr/\u003e• When I … (action)\u003cbr/\u003e• This happens … (outcome)\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003e \u003cbr/\u003eEpics\u003cbr/\u003eAn epic is nothing more than a big user story. Often, they are described as ‘over-sized’ user stories, because they are too large to complete in one sprint or iteration. They are a higher-level story that is really a group of closely related user stories. So, epics are usually split into user stories that represent smaller product features. There is no definitive threshold to distinguish a big story from a small epic.\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThemes\u003cbr/\u003eA theme is a collection of user stories that go together in some way – they have a ‘thematic’ connection to one another.\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eStory Points\u003cbr/\u003eStory Points are unitless measures of the amount of effort needed to complete a user story.
