The first video explained translations. This video explains reflections as the mathematical flip over the line of reflection. Real world examples are shown using a reflection in water and a reflection in a mirror. Students will learn how to reflect a two dimensional figure in the coordinate plane over the x and y axis. Student will discover the relationship between a figure and its reflected image relative to congruence. Students will practice identifying whether a transformation is a reflection and also practice reflecting two dimensional figures in the coordinate plane. Students will discover the effect a reflection has on an ordered pair. Exemplar problems are modeled and explained.
