We...\nIn this short video we will answer a standardized math test question where we are asked to find the volume of a composite figure. We will review that a composite figure is a solid made up of two or more three dimensional figures. We will identify the necessary volume formulas for each three dimensional figure. We will review that the volume of a prism is V=Bh where B is the area of the base. We will then rewrite the formula using the Area of a Triangle formula since the base of the given prism is a triangle creating the necessary formula V=(0.5bh)h. We will also identify the formula for the volume of a cube to be s cubed or side times side times side. We will identify the dimensions using the figure and find the volume of each of the two figures. We will add the two volumes together to identify the correct answer choice for the volume of the composite figure. An exemplar solution is modeled.\n
