1. Read the news article for overall comprehension. Don’t stop to look up vocabulary.
2. Write a short summary of the article in your own words. Don’t look back at the article!
3. Go back to the article and choose 4 new vocabulary words or phrases. Write them in your vocabulary notebook with English definitions and your own example sentences.
4. Rewrite your summary. Add details and use the new vocabulary.
5. Read half of the article out loud. This improves your fluency and pronunciation.
6. Speak out loud to yourself. Summarize the article and talk about your opinions on the information you read. Use the new vocabulary!\n
