For millions of people around the world, this is a reality. Climate change is exacerbating social, economic, and environmental drivers of migration in both hemispheres. About the speakers Dr Tasneem Siddiqui is a professor of political science at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, and the founding Chair of Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU). Her works centres on climate change adaptation and migration, drivers and impact of internal and international labour migration, and safe and sustainable cities inclusive to migrants. In 2015, she led the drafting of the National Strategy for Disaster and Climate Induced Internally Displaced Persons in Bangladesh. Kayly Ober is the senior advocate and programme manager for the Climate Displacement Program at Refugees International, and a steering group member of the UN's Climate, Migration, and Displacement Platform. Kayly has over a decade of experience on climate, migration, and displacement issues, including working as a consultant at the World Bank, where she authored the flagship report Groundswell: Preparing for Internal Climate Migration. Colette Pichon Battle is the founder and executive director of the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy, based in Los Angeles, USA, developing programming focused on disaster recovery, global migration, community economic development and climate justice. Colette worked with local communities, funders and officials in the post-Katrina and post-Deepwater Horizon disaster recoveries. In 2019, she was named an Obama Foundation Fellow for her work with Black and Native communities on the frontline of climate change. The Natural History Museum in London is home to over 80 million objects, including meteorites, dinosaur bones and a giant squid.
