A recap of number conversion from binary to decimal number system is also presented for illustrative purposes. The different number systems like binary, octal and hexadecimal are used in digital systems like smartphones, tablets, computers, laptops, processors, controllers and so forth. Having a basic understanding of these number conversions plays a vital role in designing these digital systems. The binary, octal and hexadecimal systems have bases of 2, 8 and 16 respectively. This video presents the tutorial about how to convert from one number system to another. The task is fairly simple. Even if one understands the basic conversion practice from one base to another, other conversions are fairly simple. The trick is to divide the decimal number by the base of number system into which the decimal number needs to be converted. The division has to be carried out until the remainder obtained is less that the base of number system (2 for binary, 8 for octal, 16 for hexadecimal). Similary conversion from binary to octal and hexadecimal are carried out by grouping the binary number into groups of 3 and 4 respectively. Hope you enjoy the video.
