All of these questions can be answered by learning about the immune system, and immunology is the study of the immune system. We discussed this system briefly in the anatomy & physiology series, but now we are going to go much deeper with what is potentially the most fascinatingly complex aspect of the human body. Innate and adaptive, cellular and humoral, or soluble, it has so many components and pathways, it seems overwhelming at first. But let's go through each of these one at a time, until we have a grasp on each one, such that we can apply this information to examine clinical immunology and other things that affect our health and every day lives.
