Privo develops new classes of targeted treatments, such as chemotherapy drugs, designed to be delivered through the mouth’s mucous membranes.

Privo takes drugs that are already FDA approved, and reformulates them to be more effective. Their focus is now on oral cancer. A paper-like wafer is placed directly on the oral cancerous lesion and releases the nano-particles already designed to treat oral cancer. This way the treatment stays local to the affected area without releasing these particles into the bloodstream and affecting the rest of the body.
