Since 2012, I have been a Board Member on the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR GIFTED CHILDREN, I am pleased and honored to serve and representing and advocating for gifted learners from multicultural backgrounds. My areas of expertise and interest are related to diverse gifted students and their families. I have written the first book on the market focused on the needs of Black parents of high potential/gifted youth: 'Bright, Talented & Black: A Guide for Families of African American Gifted Learners' to provide parents with advocacy tools and educators with insights needs of gifted learners who are too often overlooked in gifted programs nationwide.\n
