Use a chalk or a pencil or any colorful crayon or marker to make this more interesting to the kid. 3. Then you need to teach the kid the sound of J. • J sounds as ‘Jeh’, which is the sound in Jam. Repeat the sounds again and again to the kid so that he/she is well able to make out the difference between both the sounds. The kid will be best able to learn when it is taught with real examples. The things that the kid has seen and knows the name of but does not know that it is actually from the alphabets. So what examples can you give? Let me help you out. 1. For the sound ‘Jeh’, as in JAM. Examples: • Jeep • Joker • Juice • Jog • Jeans • Jug You can show pictures alongside these words so that the kid understands better what he/she is reading about. It would make things much easier for the kid. The more interesting it would be, the faster the kind would learn.
