Compare and contrast the ways plants and animals obtain food. Explain why water is vital to the existence of living things. Identify examples of adaptations that enable living things to produce food. For example, alligators possess strong jaws for capturing and eating prey. Understand that living things need air and the proper temperature to survive.\n
