Donald Trump recorded conversations. It's a pretty frequent thing he did from his office in the 26 floor of Trump Tower in Midtown. That he always felt like he wanted to have an insurance policy in case someone came to him with a my word versus your scenario. Trump's very litigious and he would use these recordings attempt to ward off lawsuits, that's what he'd say. Conversely there's always possible that one could make a recording to try to then extort somebody else. I'm not suggesting that's what's happening here, but it could work as both a defensive and offensive move to have a tape recording and in New York it's one party consent. So you don't necessarily have to let the person know that you're recording them. Michael Cohen is someone who also made these tapes and this is something that people in the Trump orbit, his allies outside of politics as well as people in the White House have been very nervous about. You know Michael Cohen's office was raided by prosecutors some months ago. They are sorting through hundreds of thousands of pieces of evidence.
