The two sides will try to determine over the weekend which cases merit a delay in an effort to present a unified front in court on Monday morning.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"The government must reunite them,\" the judge said. \"It must comply with the time frame unless there is an articulable reason.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              The administration has matched 86 parents to 83 children and 16 are not yet matched, Fabian said.\u003cbr/\u003e              The deadline is July 10 for parents with children under 5 and July 26 for everyone else.\u003cbr/\u003e              More than 2,000 children were separated from their parents after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced in May that the zero tolerance policy was in full effect, even if it meant splitting families. While parents were criminally prosecuted, children were placed in custody of the Health and Human Services Department.\u003cbr/\u003e              Trump reversed course on June 20 amid an international outcry from opponents who said families should remain together.\u003cbr/\u003e              On Thursday, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said fewer than 3,000 children are believed to have been separated, but that includes kids who may have lost parents along the journey, not just parents who were detained at the border.\u003cbr/\u003e            \u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003e              ASSOCIATED PRESS\u003cbr/\u003e              San Diego, California\u003cbr/\u003e              1. It involves a lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union to prohibit families from being separated at the border. Last week, a judge in San Diego appointed by President George W. Bush ruled that the families the thousands of families that already have been separated had to be reunited by July 26 and July 10th which is this Tuesday, if the children are under five years old. So today what happened was the government late last night submitted a request for a delay. They asked that the deadline extension. They said they could not make this deadline particularly the Tuesday deadline for it to reunite 101 children are under the age of 5. The discussion the issues are quite technical and so that's why the judge after about an hour and a half asked the two sides to get together this weekend. Specifically, he asked the Trump administration to deliver a list of the 101 children who are separated under age five with an explanation as to why each one of them could be reunited by Tuesday. The two sides are supposed to go back to the judge on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time and he hopes will have worked out their differences.\" \u003cbr/\u003e              3.
