Their walk down the red carpet for \"Jesus Christ Superstar\" seemed like the perfect rehearsal for Easter Sunday's live, nationally televised event.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"You know this is...this is gonna be the ultimate passion play,\" said Brandon Victor Dixon who is no stranger to Broadway smash hits. He played the infamous Aaron Burr in \"Hamilton.\" \"And so, to do it on Easter Sunday I think is great. I think it's a wonderful cast and just the way that we're going to shoot it and present it I think everybody is going to be really excited by the interpretation of the story.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Grammy-nominated Sara Bareilles plays Mary Magdalene.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"I remember watching the film and particularly the scene in the garden of Gethsemane I remember just weeping and rewinding it and watching it all again,\" Bareilles said. \"And I think the score is just...it's one of the greats. And to think about where they were at in their careers when they saw...Andrew Lloyd Webber was in his early 20s when he wrote that.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Headlining the live performance is 10-time Grammy-winning recording artist John Legend who plays Jesus.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"'Jesus Christ Superstar' has meant so much to people for a long time,\" Legend said. \"You know, like 40 years from when the first album came out. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice have really kind of changed the culture and a lot of ways as we think about how we think about Jesus and what his story means to so many people. They reimagined it in such a really beautiful way. And so, we are excited to present that to the world.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              The groundbreaking rock opera includes contemporary ideas and slang, reaching audiences from all walks of life. Set during the final week of Jesus' life, the story is told from the perspective of infamous betrayer Judas Iscariot.
