And also, stunning low light photography.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              The new P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED display with 2,240x1080 pixels.\u003cbr/\u003e              The slim device is also just 7.8 mm thick, but it's the three lens Leica camera that Huawei's shouting loudest about.\u003cbr/\u003e              It has a 20-megapixel monochrome lens, an RGB colour lens and a telephoto lens. \u003cbr/\u003e              With a wide aperture of F1.6, the camera functions well in low light conditions.\u003cbr/\u003e              It has a larger sensor in comparison to its closest market competitors, the camera can also turn on and start shooting in just 0.3 seconds.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Definitely we are prioritising the camera, the whole design is set up to put the camera in focus,\" says Herkelmann.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"And camera is for consumers one of the major features that they love to have in a smartphone, it's about camera and it's about battery performance and with a P20 Pro we're delivering both of that.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Alex Lambrechts is a professional fashion photographer. He mostly uses old film cameras to capture his subjects.\u003cbr/\u003e              He's had the opportunity to shoot with the new P20 Pro and was most impressed by its long battery life.\u003cbr/\u003e              Despite being an analogue photographer, who mostly likes shooting on film, he says he's beginning to see the merits of AI digital photography.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Where it (artificial intelligence) was heavy-handed before, it's a lot more natural now,\" says Lambrechts.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"And I've got to say, I embrace it. I'm not 100 percent going with the auto to be very honest, for everything that I would do. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"Like I said, I shoot analogue mostly, I really like that old school purist look, but the Pro mode still has a lot of this AI kicking in there and I can get that analogue look. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"So that's where I am using it and yeah, I am welcoming it, I didn't think I'd say that.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Domenico Lamberti is the senior review editor at website MobileTechTalk. It's his job to try and test all the latest smartphones.\u003cbr/\u003e              And Lamberti believes the new P20 Pro smartphone rates highly. He compares it to the latest top-of-the-range Apple device.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"The success of the iPhone X's camera is in its simplicity, it is the evolution of the point and shoot and you get what you get, you get what you see through the viewfinder, it doesn't really change all that much,\" he says.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"And for the most part, that's a really good thing because most people don't really want to go through digging; 'Oh, I want to go in aperture priority mode or change the shutter speed.' Most people don't want that. They're like; 'Oh, that looks cool,' so they take their phone out, click, what they see on the screen is pretty much what they're going to get. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"But what you see with this is not only is it the live HDR (high dynamic range), the live AI assistance and things, the speed at which it does scene recognition, which I didn't think could get any faster from the Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro is almost instantaneous.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Many smartphone makers are turning their attention to the camera.\u003cbr/\u003e              Lamberti says devices have become so capable and advanced in other areas, the camera system is the last major battleground.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"It (the camera) is kind of the last frontier, there's only so many things you can do,\" he says.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"You can make the screen better, you can make it bigger, you can make the bezels smaller, but even then, the front of the face can only be so much screen. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"So okay, you can make the screen brighter, more colour accurate, you can make the phone slightly thinner, but they're also very iterative. The camera is the last thing where you can really make a difference.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              The smartphone's camera also boasts several new photo profile styles and scene recognition.\u003cbr/\u003e              Huawei trainer Alex Lee is demonstrating the device's portrait mode, which captures a subject against a black background and automatically adjusts the lighting for a softer, more flattering effect.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"We've got portrait mode in here, which enables us to do a 3D lighting effect,\" explains Lee.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"So, swapping to portrait mode here, choosing my stage lighting effect and we point towards my subject, taking the shot now.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              The Huawei P20 Pro is set for launch in April.
