During his tenure of office, Secretary Tillerson maintained close communication with China. We appreciate his efforts in improving China-US relations. We hope Mr. Tillerson will continue to pay attention to and support the development of China-US relations in the future. \u003cbr/\u003e              Speaking of our expectation for Mr. Pompeo in terms of China-US relations after he takes office, we have taken note of President Trump's nomination of Mr. Pompeo as the new Secretary of State. President Trump considers to impose tariffs on $60 billion of Chinese imports. We hope the relevant parties can start talks and sustain the talks till good outcomes are achieved and a peaceful, stable and denuclearized Korean Peninsula is realized. \u003cbr/\u003e              With regard to its impacts on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action(JCPOA), I think the JCPOA is a significant deal that was concluded by the six parties and Iran, as well as the intentional community after a long struggle. It is also an example for the international community to solve the nonproliferation issue through political dialogues. We hope the JCPOA will continue being implemented strictly and completely by all parties. This confirms to the international community's efforts for nonproliferation and serves interests of all countries in the world. \u003cbr/\u003e              4. British Physicist Stephen Hawking reportedly passed away at his home in Cambridge. Any comment? \u003cbr/\u003e              Mr. Hawking is a prominent scientist, who has fought tenaciously against the illness and greatly contributed to science and mankind. According to my information, Mr. Hawking visited China three times and had a talk with Chinese leaders. Many Chinese scientists and scientific fans once had joyful exchanges with him then. Mr. Hawking is concerned about China's development and construction and highly valued China's scientific and technological progress. He also likes Chinese culture very much. As far as I know, upon his insistence, he climbed China's Great Wall accompanied by his aide. We feel regretful about the passing away of Mr. Hawking and express our condolences to his families.
