The eight-day event is showcasing everything from super...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eLEAD IN:\u003cbr/\u003e              The 26th edition of Dubai's International Boat Show is giving boating enthusiasts a glimpse of biggest trends when it comes to luxury yachting.\u003cbr/\u003e              The eight-day event is showcasing everything from super yachts to flying yachts.\u003cbr/\u003e              \u003cbr/\u003e              STORY-LINE:\u003cbr/\u003e              Everything from small boats to mega yachts are on show at Dubai's International Boat Show.\u003cbr/\u003e              This year, there's a big showing from UAE-based yacht and boat makers. That includes Gulf Craft, the largest manufacturer of boats and yachts in the Middle East. \u003cbr/\u003e              According to the company's executive management officer Abeer Al Shaali, clients are looking for practicality.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"I think people are looking for family-friendly boats,\" she says. \"I think they're looking for ease of maintenance. I think they're looking for something that is easy to berth. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"You know, looking at the berths that are available in Dubai and where they're going to have to register and where they're going to have to park. I think that's something that's very important for people today.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Gulf Craft also claims to carry the largest range of boats in the world, including this 140-foot yacht. It has three floors and this luxurious jacuzzi.\u003cbr/\u003e              It'll set buyers back around 60 million UAE dirhams, that's about $16 million USD.\u003cbr/\u003e              But Gulf Craft isn't only targeting the Middle East market, it's global, claims Al Shaali.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"We don't really consider ourselves today a Middle East builder, we are located here, but we sell all over the world,\" she says.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Of course, if you are in the GCC, it makes a lot of sense to buy from us because we are built also in this environment and we are built to withstand this environment. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"So, our boats can handle the highest salinity, the highest humidity and the highest heat that this region has to offer.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              But if a traditional yacht isn't what you're looking for, how about what's claimed to be the world's first commercial flying yacht?\u003cbr/\u003e              It's called 'Foiler' and was officially launched here at the show.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"The idea behind it, it has four hydrofoils, two in the front, two in the back, lifts the entire boat out of the water while you're sailing,\" explains Aloïs Vieujot from Enata, the company that created the yacht.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"So, from 18 knots, it's completely above the water, which means it's incredibly smooth, incredibly steady and thus incredibly safe too.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              But this yacht doesn't come cheap.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"This boat goes for one million euros (approx. $1.2 million USD) and it's very competitive pricing, especially for a boat that actually flies,\" says Vieujot.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"And you can't get this level of comfort on any other boat. When you go from this onto a normal boat, you've been 100 years in the past. It's like going from first class to economy.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Vieujot also claims the yacht is eco-friendly. \u003cbr/\u003e              If you're looking to charter a super yacht this summer, then how about Serenity. It's the biggest boat at the show.\u003cbr/\u003e              It's priced at 550,000 euros or $670,000 USD a week. And if you want to buy it, that will cost 69 million euros or $73 million USD. \u003cbr/\u003e              What you get is a 16 cabins and room for over 30 guests, which is rare in the yacht world, claims charter manager Daphne Tsevdos.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"There are only about, I think, about six in the world, that is a yacht that acts as a passenger vessel,\" she says.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"So, we take over 12 guests, no other yacht can take over 12 guests. And as I say, there are only about six in the world, so it's exceptional to be able to do that. And that's what makes this boat very enticing to a lot of our clients.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              And while they're hoping to take a few bookings from Middle East clients here at the show, Tsevdos says a large amount of their clientele is now coming from the United States.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"What has impacted our business at this moment in time is we've suddenly got a huge influx of American clients,\" she says.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"I mean, this boat and our other yacht which is Omega, which is on the same class of boat, they're almost booked for the whole summer and that and most of them are from American clients.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Dubai International Boat Show runs 27 February to 3 March 2018.\u003cbr/\u003e            \u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003e              Dubai, UAE - 1 March 2018\u003cbr/\u003e              1.
