The Toy Association, which puts on the show every...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eThe 115th North American International Toy Fair in New York City brings together toy innovators, retailers, and first time exhibitors all looking for the next must have toy. \u003cbr/\u003e              The Toy Association, which puts on the show every year, says this is the critical time for the planning for the upcoming holiday season.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"We're seeing a lot of trends this year at Toy Fair,\" Adrienne Appell, The Toy Association trend specialist says.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"One of them is millennial nostalgia. So, there are so many millennial parents out there right now. And they're loving toys that remind them of their childhood to play with their kids. So, think of brands like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They're bringing back Polly Pocket and even things like Shrinky Dinks are making a comeback this year.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Toy manufacturers and retailers take over an area roughly equivalent to seven football fields in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.\u003cbr/\u003e              The show isn't opened to the public, but thousands of people attend the show each year.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Well now is actually when everybody's coming together,\" according to Steve Pasierb, CEO, The Toy Association.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Buyers from all over the world. Over 1,000 toy companies here in New York to really talk about what is going to happen next Christmas. What are companies going to buy. What are going to be on birthday party tables in the coming months,\" Pasierb says. \u003cbr/\u003e              Some first time exhibitors, like Erna Barenio from Queens is looking for ideas to grow her company.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"So, there were certain areas that we had already thought about. Small toy shops that we were looking to partner up with. But just the bigger picture of museums being interested. Educational retailers being interested. So, different markets that we didn't expect or even think about just because we are so new at this.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Others, like Jim Cordingley, a retailer from Canada, come to the convention center looking for that unique toy to set them apart form the big box stores.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"We've been in business for 25 years. So we've seen a lot of the products that are here now. But what we're looking for is, you know, more unique things. Something new that will make us a little bit different.\" \u003cbr/\u003e              Learning about what the market wants from their product, will and won't sell, what changes to make in their product, \u003cbr/\u003e              \"This is big business. The United States has a 27 billion dollar market for toys.
