The Dessert Museum will open to the public on Saturday (10 Feb)...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eLEADIN:\u003cbr/\u003e              A sweet tooth's sugar-filled dreams have been turned into a reality with the opening of a museum dedicated to tasty treats in Manila. \u003cbr/\u003e              The Dessert Museum will open to the public on Saturday (10 Feb) showcasing everything from cotton candy making to a giant donut slide. \u003cbr/\u003e              STORYLINE:\u003cbr/\u003e              Artworks that look good enough to eat - welcome to the Dessert Museum. \u003cbr/\u003e              There are eight sugar-filled rooms celebrating some of the most favourite sweet treats among Filipinos. \u003cbr/\u003e              The Manila museum will open to the public on Saturday but the organisers have held a pre-launch party to give people a taste of what to expect. \u003cbr/\u003e              Visitors will enter through a giant donut slide into a sugar-filled fantasy land. \u003cbr/\u003e              The co-owner of the Dessert Museum Nikko Que says he wants people to have fun. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"Actually I'm targeting the, mostly the millennial and the adults now. Because that's an experience (that) I think we've lost in a way, the - how do you say this? - it's like when you get super-excited seeing, jumping to a ball pit, you can't do that now as an adult. Seeing, like, desserts that much, you can't have too much sweets anymore. But being in a museum like this, where you can experience gigantic desserts, different ones, room after room, I think it's going to bring back that memory of enjoyment that, like, what you get from the sweets.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              The museum is bright and colourful and celebrates everything sweet. \u003cbr/\u003e              One room celebrates cotton candy and has a large pink forest that people can walk through while sampling the fluffy candy floss. \u003cbr/\u003e              Interactive installations also include a gummy bear playground and a candy cane grove. \u003cbr/\u003e              Visitors are encouraged to slide, swing, play and eat through the whole multi-sensorial tour.\u003cbr/\u003e              Lifestyle blogger and dessert lover David Guison says the highlight for him is the ice cream exhibition. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"Oh my god, the ice cream (laughs). Just because I love the popsicles that I made. There was a mango one and an avocado one. And when I tried it, it really reminded me of my childhood because when my mum would make avocado and milk, then with the mangoes. Yeah, I really love ice cream in general,\" he says.\u003cbr/\u003e              All the rooms have a museum guide who will introduce fun facts about the various desserts. The guide also encourages people to sample some of the sweet treats. \u003cbr/\u003e              Another lifestyle blogger on the tour Vina Guerrero says \"I'm not fond of sweets. But because in here, every room you can taste like, there were like, ice cream, macaroons and there's lollipops. So, yeah, I think this place is very perfect for those who love sweets and even the people who don't like sweets that much, I'm sure they will love this place. As in when they come out of the museum, they'll want to buy candy\".\u003cbr/\u003e              Local musician and artist Reese Lansangan says she's enjoying the attraction but would like to see some changes. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"...Also make sure that people are listening because a lot of people get distracted about pictures, but I would love - a museum is really there for learning in the first place - and I would love for more people to actually listen to what the guides are trying to say and have more stuff that people can read, just to add to the museum experience.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Filipinos have a reputation for a fondness of sweet food, according to chef Buddy Trinidad who's a member of Pastry Alliance of the Philippines. \u003cbr/\u003e              He says sugar is used more widely in recipes than in many other countries. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"You go have a hamburger and it's sweet. You know, it's natural for us for sugar to be in certain savoury items, wherein you go to another country, there's no sugar in it.
