Characters from anime, comic books, cartoons, video games or movies are popular in many parts of Asia and Taiwan is no...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eLEADIN \u003cbr/\u003e              Colourful anime characters take centre stage at the Taipei Comic Show in Taiwan.\u003cbr/\u003e              Characters from anime, comic books, cartoons, video games or movies are popular in many parts of Asia and Taiwan is no exception. \u003cbr/\u003e              STORYLINE\u003cbr/\u003e              Singing and dancing on stage, Chita Musume, an idol group of voice actors from Chita Peninsula, Japan, perform in a cute mini concert.\u003cbr/\u003e              They're part of the Taipei Comic Show: a meeting of comic and anime fans with some of their favourite comic characters.\u003cbr/\u003e              They've visited Taiwan several times in the past and today their Taiwanese fans are singing and cheering along with them.\u003cbr/\u003e              Ushida Yuka, a member of Chita Musume, says she loves bringing her character Taketoyo Otohime to life.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"When being a voice actress, the happiest things are to train my own voice and sing lots of songs for several CDs, and to represent my character in front of people so that everyone loves it,\" she says.\u003cbr/\u003e              And today the event is also being used to celebrate the birthday of the author of the comic series: \"My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected\".\u003cbr/\u003e              Watari Wataru's actual birthday was 24 January but he waited until 2 February to celebrate with his Taiwanese book fans.\u003cbr/\u003e               Wataru recently released the 12th volume of his series and say the 14th will be his last.\u003cbr/\u003e              Speaking of his much loved characters Wataru says: \"I really enjoy depicting their interactions, relations and their growth.\" He spends much of his belated birthday signing autographs for fans.\u003cbr/\u003e              Tsukipro is a multi-media series following the careers of six fictional idol groups. One of its fans here today goes by the name 'Flowery Rabbit' and has a favourite character in the series:\u003cbr/\u003e              \"I really like him. I also like his voice when he sings, I really love it when he interacts with his friends. This is why I am here to collect some of his products. I will keep on supporting them,\" she says..\u003cbr/\u003e              Comic fans can now even interact with their fictional idols. Software company KLab is showcasing a game with real size 2D characters who talk to their fans. Matthieu (who didn't give his second name), an employee for KLab explains:\u003cbr/\u003e              \"It's live 2D, and you so it feels really real. Their hands move, they have facial expressions, so for fans, it's 2 minutes 30 with their headphones.
