At the same time it's a huge platform and opportunity for us to bring awareness to things that are important that need to change not just in my industry, you know.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Kruger stars in \"In The Fade,\" which won the Critics' Choice Award for Best Foreign Language Film. It scored the same prize at Sunday's Globes - surprising director Fatih Akin.  Kruger says the filmmaker enjoyed his moment. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"It was little surreal in the room, because he really not did not expect to win and nobody had prepared a speech so it came as a total surprise, which is always better, I guess,\" she said. \"And then we had a lot of champagne. I went to bed not too late but I know my director was out a long time, because I saw him in Palm Springs the next day and he looked not good, to say the very least.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              \"The Shape of Water\" director Guillermo del Toro said he found Natalie Portman's presentation of the Golden Globe for best director - \"and here are the all-male nominees\" - completely appropriate.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"I definitely loved it.  I think it is fantastic that - one thing this season that we have to cherish is everyone saying what they think, you know what I'm saying, there is no other alternative. Take it. And it was beautiful, it was strong, smart, subtle, so I enjoyed it a lot and that day - it feels like a landmark, it feels very historical in so many ways for me. Certainly I'm prejudiced, I am at that stage for the first time in 25 years and the distance between the table and the stage, which is very short is actually really long, so very happy.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Del Toro won the category at the Globes, and picked up the same prize at the Critics' Choice Awards, along with the best picture trophy.\u003cbr/\u003e              He was announced Thursday as a nominee for outstanding directorial achievement by the Directors Guild of America - a prize that would be close to his heart.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Very happy.
