The host of Sunday's show helped to ceremoniously roll out the red...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eSETH MEYERS READY TO BE CELEBRATORY AND SERIOUS AT GLOBES\u003cbr/\u003e              Seth Meyers says he's ready to be celebratory and serious at the Golden Globe Awards.\u003cbr/\u003e              The host of Sunday's show helped to ceremoniously roll out the red carpet Thursday (4 JAN. 2018) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where the awards take place.\u003cbr/\u003e              The Golden Globes are the first big show of Hollywood's awards season and Meyers says his goal is to strike the right tone as the sexual harassment crisis continues metastasizing throughout the industry.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"You don't want to ignore what everybody is talking about,\" said Meyers. \"It would be very conspicuous in its absence. But you also, even though a lot of terrible things happened last year, you look at this movement, you look at what women are doing right now. I also hope that the tone will be optimistic, that next year will be better than this one was and continue and improve as we move forward.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Meyers also reminds that he was hired to essentially kick off the show.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"At the end of the day like when you get asked to host something like this, you think of it as 8 to 10 minutes of jokes off the top of the show. They will be jokes the tone at sometimes, or I should say the tone will be about more serious issues maybe than it has been in the past, but you don't bring me in and not get some jokes.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Many stars are planning to wear black to this year's Globes as part of a planned anti-harassment protest.
