So, they just figured if we can make a restaurant that serves food that looks as good as this and also tastes amazing. It's gotta be sure to succeed. \"\u003cbr/\u003e              This 'Poke Bowl' is inspired by Hawaiian cuisine. It's filled with raw salmon, seaweed salad, fish caviar and sushi rice. It's sat in a rose bowl made from avocado.\u003cbr/\u003e              Aside from its unique menu, part of the restaurant's success is down to its popularity online, particularly picture-sharing app Instagram.\u003cbr/\u003e              Greenslade says they had around 36,000 followers on the site before they even opened in March.\u003cbr/\u003e              They now have almost 87,000 followers and have been tagged more than 4,000 picture posts.\u003cbr/\u003e              British-themed bakes, including this canine themed cake took centre stage at London's annual Cake and Bake Show.\u003cbr/\u003e              Experts say social media is giving rise to a boom in sugar craft and an increasingly young, passionate collection of bakers.\u003cbr/\u003e              This British bulldog cake is the creation of cake artist and YouTuber Rosie 'Cake-Diva' Dummond. She says it took three whole weeks to craft.\u003cbr/\u003e              It includes 18 layers of sponge, 40 kilograms of icing and 15 kilograms of chocolate ganache. It's been welded together with eight kilograms of butter cream.\u003cbr/\u003e              A former British military pilot, Dummer traded in her flight suit for an apron and now makes fun-themed baking instruction videos on YouTube.\u003cbr/\u003e              They've become so popular she's racked up almost 13 million views and nearly 150,000 YouTube subscribers.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"I think it's been a game changer,\" she says. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"Social media, the internet, means that people can go online, see stuff that inspires them. I mean, literally it's all out there. Not only what you can do, but how to do it, it's all online and I think it's been the reason that there's been a boom in sugar craft in the last few years.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              New York's famous theatre district provided an inspirational theme for pastry chefs to create fantastical sugary creations at the city's Cake Show. \u003cbr/\u003e              The star of day was a Kinky Boots themed cake that won the one thousand dollar first prize. \u003cbr/\u003e              Back in London this recreation of Pablo Picasso's 'The Weeping Woman' looks good enough to eat - that's because it is.\u003cbr/\u003e              At London's The Chocolate Show, master chocolatiers embraced their arty side, creating classic art pieces re-imagined entirely in chocolate.\u003cbr/\u003e              London-based Aneesh Popat from The Chocolatier used a combination of sponge and figure-painting to create his tasty 'Mona Lisa'. \u003cbr/\u003e              There are also sugar-coated versions of Hokusai's 'Great Wave', Van Gogh's 'Starry Night and Klimt's 'The Kiss'.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"As a material it works like paint, for example, but then paint, you know, it doesn't snap, it doesn't break off, it's not an issue if there's too much heat or cold or damp,\" says Popat.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"So that's a real big issue. It's about painting with it knowing that it needs to finish in a physical format as well as just looking right. So that's the hardest thing with chocolate.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              In the Belgian town of Gembloux chocolates made with precision were being created in this laboratory \u003cbr/\u003e              They're the latest products from La Miam Factory, which uses 3-D printers to make perfect, mini chocolate sculptures.\u003cbr/\u003e              Gaetan Richard is Chief Technical Officer and Co-founder of the factory. \u003cbr/\u003e              He demonstrated the process by melting chocolate pellets, using the bain-marie technique, and pouring them into a syringe before attaching it to the 3-D printing machine. Then a drawing on a computer connected to the printer tells the machine which chocolate shape to make.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Here the interest is that with 3-D printing we can create forms that can't be made through moulding, because they bulge or have a hollow shape etc. 3-D chocolate printing is a new tool available to chocolate and pastry makers to create new forms, new things to better express their creativity.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              Belgian start-up La Miam is an off-shoot of the Smart Gastronomy Lab of the University of Liege, whose mission is to create prototypes for culinary trials and advancement.\u003cbr/\u003e              Meanwhile in Thailand.....Fancy a forkful? \u003cbr/\u003e              Yes, those are mixed sautéed insects served as a starter. \u003cbr/\u003e              At opening time in Bangkok's latest hipster zone this particular restaurant was creating quite a buzz.\u003cbr/\u003e              The menu features bugs of all shapes and sizes, combined with more familiar ingredients. \u003cbr/\u003e              These diners are getting stuck in to the house pasta: spaghetti with garlic and bacon - and crickets. \u003cbr/\u003e              United Nations food experts have pushed insects as a source of nutrition for years. \u003cbr/\u003e              Studies show they're higher in protein, beneficial fats and minerals than traditional livestock. \u003cbr/\u003e              Even when commercially farmed, their environmental impact is far lower, needing less feed and emitting less carbon. \u003cbr/\u003e              On a wind swept island off Croatia an award winning cheese is infused with a taste of the sea. \u003cbr/\u003e              Only the most resilient plant life can survive on the arid, windy island of Pag. \u003cbr/\u003e              The local sheep live on a diet of these hardy plants, including herbs such as sage and rosemary, and that's what gives the cheese its aromatic flavour. \u003cbr/\u003e              The 'Bora' is a northerly wind that can be felt all the way down the Adriatic east coast. \u003cbr/\u003e              It carries salt from the sea onto the island, which finds its way into the food chain - making the ewes' milk salty. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"It is about salt, which is brought by on the wind from the continent and collected from the sea.
