Hundreds have gathered to hear Tareq Al Nasser and his band perform by candlelight...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eLEADIN\u003cbr/\u003e              One of Jordan's most famous composer and his orchestra have played in front of the country's biggest tourist attraction.\u003cbr/\u003e              Hundreds have gathered to hear Tareq Al Nasser and his band perform by candlelight in front of the famed Treasury building in Petra,\u003cbr/\u003e              STORYLINE\u003cbr/\u003e              As the sun slowly sets on a dusty Petra, hundreds of people gather in front of the Treasury, the 2,000-year old UNESCO world heritage site's most impressive temple. \u003cbr/\u003e              The ancient city, hewn from rose-coloured rock, is Jordan's biggest tourist draw.\u003cbr/\u003e              But many have driven for hours from Jordan's capital Amman for another reason.\u003cbr/\u003e              They're here to see famous Jordanian composer Tareq Al Nasser perform here with his orchestra, known as Rum, for the very first time. \u003cbr/\u003e              Tourist Hada Sarhan is a Jordanian journalist and a huge fan of his music. She's at the concert with her daughter:\u003cbr/\u003e              \"What is particular about Tareq Al Nasser and his music is that he composed classical music and he combined it with traditional music. Everybody likes his music, from the elite to the ordinary people, all kinds of people from all ages,\" she says.\u003cbr/\u003e              Al Nasser's Rum orchestra is an eclectic ensemble of classical and folkloric musicians and singers.\u003cbr/\u003e              They've rehearsed in Amman for weeks for this night. For Al Nasser, it's a special occasion as Petra had long captured his imagination: \u003cbr/\u003e              \"Petra actually looks like a woman to me, it represents the female body with all its curves and Wadi Rum is the male side. It helps me activate my imagination even further because when you look at these rocks in Petra, you find that feminine side in it,\" he says\u003cbr/\u003e              Anas Ahmad, a cargo officer, has driven down with his friend to Petra just for the concert: \u003cbr/\u003e              \"The concert venue, without any sound system and just the music, in addition to the beauty of the place during the sunset, will make for a unique experience. We came from Amman and drove for four hours to enjoy the concert,\" he says before finding a spot on the ground to sit and listen to the show.\u003cbr/\u003e              Many others happen to be fortunate enough to be at the location at the right moment.\u003cbr/\u003e              In an atmospheric performance, the band plays in front of a crowd of almost 1,000 people, as the imposing Treasury lights up with changing colours behind.\u003cbr/\u003e              While the performance may sound exquisite it wasn't without its technical issues - the Rose City is a difficult place to hold a concert without a proper sound system.\u003cbr/\u003e              But Al Nasser's solution to this was to increase the number of musicians to compensate for the huge size of the venue:\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Instead of having four or six violins, we have eight. Instead of one guitar we have four or sometimes even five.
