And the late British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid has left her stamp on the event with a special bench...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eLEADIN:\u003cbr/\u003e              Dubai Design Week is in full swing in the UAE, showcasing international and regional talents.\u003cbr/\u003e              And the late British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid has left her stamp on the event with a special bench installation.\u003cbr/\u003e              STORYLINE:\u003cbr/\u003e              Striking installations have taken over the Dubai Design District.\u003cbr/\u003e              Fredrikson Stallard's \"Prologue\", dripping with thousands of Swarovski crystals, is the perfect backdrop for a selfie.\u003cbr/\u003e              The large works are part of Dubai Design Week, now in its third year.\u003cbr/\u003e              William Knight, Managing Director of the event, says there is something for everyone here.\u003cbr/\u003e              Established in 2015, Dubai's annual design week has grown to include over 200 events staged across the bustling UAE city.\u003cbr/\u003e              At the centre of the event is the 'Abwab' exhibit, showcasing contemporary design objects from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.\u003cbr/\u003e              There are 47 designs, representing 15 different countries.\u003cbr/\u003e              The word 'Abwab' means 'doors' in Arabic, reflecting a theme of openness.\u003cbr/\u003e              The pavilion's \"skin\" is composed of disused bedsprings, borrowed from an environmental management company.\u003cbr/\u003e              But one installation that has caught people's attentions are simple benches - with a twist. \u003cbr/\u003e              The Serac benches are all around the district and were designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the firm founded by the famous British Iraqi architect. \u003cbr/\u003e              The firm worked with Italian company the Italian Lab to create benches in Zaha Hadid's signature style. \u003cbr/\u003e              Tariq Khayyat, Head of region for Zaha Hadid Architects, says they reflect her \"vision of fluidity for designs and furniture pieces\". \u003cbr/\u003e              Hadid designed high-profile buildings around the world - including the Aquatic Centre for the 2012 London Olympics - before her death in 2016.\u003cbr/\u003e              But Khayyat believes her legacy lives on.\u003cbr/\u003e              Sadly Zaha left us but she left us after she made sure that the DNA is there,\" he says. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"So Zaha's completely embedded within our design, with our design methods and philosophy.
