We will challenge people not to attend the games (and) not to watch them on television until the owners meet (to) resolve this crisis,\" the civil rights leader said during a news conference Monday in Detroit.\u003cbr/\u003e              Last year, Kaepernick, who then was with the San Francisco 49ers, knelt during the national anthem as a protest against racial inequality and police brutality.\u003cbr/\u003e              According to Jackson, NFL owners have colluded not to sign free agent Kaepernick to a contract for the current season.\u003cbr/\u003e              Jackson also was critical of President Donald Trump during his remarks Monday, saying the president should spend more time focusing on hurricane recovery and other pressing world matters and less time attacking those in the NFL who continue to kneel during the playing of the national anthem.\u003cbr/\u003e              Trump has spent three days attacking NFL players who kneel during the anthem. \u003cbr/\u003e              On Friday night, during a rally in Huntsville, Alabama, Trump said: \"Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners when somebody disrespects our flag to say get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out, he's fired, he's fired.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              According to Jackson, the president's words contained \"racial overtones\" that \"were unmistakable and vulgar.\"\u003cbr/\u003e            \u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003e              Detroit – September 25, 2017\u003cbr/\u003e              1.
