The company will release its first fully electric Jaguar I-Pace...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eLEADIN:\u003cbr/\u003e              Jaguar Land Rover is moving towards a greener future, announcing all its vehicles will be available in electric or hybrid models from 2020.\u003cbr/\u003e              The company will release its first fully electric Jaguar I-Pace model next year. \u003cbr/\u003e              STORYLINE:\u003cbr/\u003e              Britain's biggest car maker has announced it will make all of its vehicles electric or part electric from 2020. \u003cbr/\u003e              Chief Executive Officer of Jaguar Land Rover, Ralf Speth made the announcement during the Jaguar Land Rover Tech Fest event in London. \u003cbr/\u003e              The company, owned by India's Tata motors, is following in the footsteps of Volvo which plans for all its new cars to have an electric motor from 2019.  \u003cbr/\u003e              Earlier this year the French and UK governments announced a plan to ban all new petrol and diesel cars and vans from 2040 as part of efforts to tackle air pollution and climate change.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"Dates are set by the UK government for the banning of diesel and petrol vehicles by 2040. We as a company can deliver electric vehicles - it goes without saying, where is the network of charging points that will require to function,\" says Speth.\u003cbr/\u003e              He says internal combustion engines will still be available across the range but that customers will now have a wider range of options. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"From 2020 all of our new vehicles will be electrified, giving our customers more choice. We will introduce a portfolio of electrified vehicles across our model range, embracing fully electric, plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid vehicles - cars and SUVs,\" he adds. \u003cbr/\u003e              Jaguar will release its first fully electric car next year - the I-Pace compact SUV.   \u003cbr/\u003e              Editor-in-Chief of Autocar, Steve Cropley says it's a bold move to offer electric options. \u003cbr/\u003e              \"It's a very interesting announcement. You could say that it pre-empts the government by 20 years. What they're doing is showing perfectly well that they can make the cars that will be required beyond 2040 and they're also calling for the government to get into gear as well.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              \"What this in effect does is make it clear that the consumer will be the person who decides how electrified cars become on British roads in the near future.
